The Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions – Intermediterranean Commission (CPMR-IMC) and the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE), are looking for an expert to write the 1st Thematic Paper of the Mediterranean Cluster on Innovation and Technology Capacities, as part of the Community4Tourism project of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme Sustainable Tourism Mission.
The theme will be “Smart and Data-Driven Destination Management for Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean”
Deadline for submission: 5 January 2026
Contract duration: January 2026 – July 2026
Objectives:
- Draft a knowledge transfer and capitalisation document on smart and data-driven tourism management;
- Collect and analyse contributions from the Mediterranean Cluster Thematic Projects;
- Highlight transferable tools, methodologies, solutions and best practices;
- Lead 2 online Cluster meetings (January and April/May 2026);
- Present the Thematic Paper during the III Euro-MED Sustainable Tourism Convention (Barcelona, 18-19 June 2026).
CANDIDATE PROFILE – Applicants must demonstrate:
- Proven experience (>10 years) in sustainable tourism and Smart & Data-Driven Destination Management;
- Strong experience in data collection, harmonization and analysis in project frameworks;
- Knowledge of the Mediterranean context and European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg Euro-MED);
- Excellent analytical and writing skills in English.
